The Citizen CT-E651L : two-in-one label and receipt printing

Compact, dynamic and stylish design with outstanding connectivity

Say goodbye to manning separate printing solutions for label and POS as global specialist printer manufacturer, Citizen Systems, announces the all-new CT-E651L label and POS printer. Derived from the successful CT-E651 POS printer, the CT-E651L is a new and improved POS printer that has been designed to serve across multiple applications. With the ability to print labels and receipts, the CT-E651L delivers outstanding economy, printing labels and receipts up to 3-inches wide at up to 200mm and 300mm in respective modes.

Citizen Systems’ rich heritage in printing innovation and manufacturing excellence helped them identify a gap in the market for a hybrid label and POS solution, bridging the gap between labels and receipts. The new CT-E651L brings more functionality to the standard POS printing solution with its ability to print both labels and receipts making it ideal for environments where a printer is required to multi-task. For instance, in a pharmacy both prescription labels and medication receipts can be printed from the same printer – saving both hardware costs and customer waiting times.

„We strive for innovation every day and this new printer stands as a significant development for Citizen, our valued customers and for the market as a whole.", Jӧrk Schüßler, Marketing Director EMEA at Citizen Systems Europe

The flat-top, front exit design makes the new printer an excellent choice for the hospitality sector as well as making it ideal for integration with kiosks and self-service terminals. The front-exit protects the printer and its mechanism from excess crumbs and spills if operating in a bar, kitchen or café.

The CT-E651L is also designed with space economy in mind. With the same small footprint as Citizen’s standard CT-E351/651 POS printer range, it is made to fit perfectly beneath all-in-one retail systems or alongside a cash drawer – after all, it is the same height.

Available in black or white the CT-E651L offers ultra-modern aesthetics, making it ideal to fit in with a wide range of working environments. Its supreme performance is designed to withstand daily use, supporting the brand’s reputation of reliability within Citizen’s 3” POS printer range. By printing instantly onto either label or receipt media, with lower running costs, and delivering 203 dpi prints, it can easily replace a two-printer set-up.

Citizen’s newest POS printer comes with full hardware and software connectivity. Standard USB connectivity is supported by an adaptable range of optional interfaces including Wi-Fi with XML support, Ethernet, Serial or Bluetooth, making it simple to integrate into existing POS systems. Comprehensive software compatibility includes Windows drivers, Mac OS X, Linux CUPS and SDKs for iOS, Android and Windows Mobile as well as industry-standard ESC/POS™® emulation. Using the ESC/POS commands or a Windows driver, the CT-E651L can print labels without the need for the complexity of traditional label printers. This allows users to adopt systems which may be more familiar to them.

The new CT-E651L from Citizen is an ideal POS printing solution for a wide range of commercial environments, producing a variety of printing options with sleek style, practicality and reliability.

Jӧrk Schüßler, Marketing Director EMEA at Citizen Systems Europe, said: “Citizen prides itself on its strength in the POS printer industry and the CT-E651L reinforces this point without question. Thanks to its ability to print both and labels and receipts, the new printer’s versatility pushes it further ahead of some current offers in the market. We strive for innovation every day and this new printer stands as a significant development for Citizen, our valued customers and for the market as a whole."
