Dallmeier at ICE Show 2008 - Show report

From 22nd to 24th January 2008 it was once again time. The International Casino Exhibition ICE, one of the most prestigious exhibitions for the gaming and gambling industry worldwide, opened its gates again in London. Regensburg based CCTV/IP specialist Dallmeier also participated again, this time with a new stand design.

Adhering to the motto “CCTV/IP security solutions for casinos: diversity and integration”, Dallmeier showed its complete product range. A particular highlight was the Dallmeier CasinoCam® with innovative Cam_inPIX® technology as well as the new Video Management Centre VMC-1 “Eagle”.

Dallmeier CasinoCam® with Cam_inPIX® technology
Cameras form the first element of the system and should therefore be chosen particularly carefully. The logic for this is simple, as even the best recorder can only record high-quality images if the camera provides a good signal.

For this reason, with over 20 years of experience Dallmeier produces its own cameras. In combination with Dallmeier picture transmission and picture recording technologies the individual components can be optimally integrated into a complete system. Dallmeier took the latest Pixim DPS technology and used it as the basis for its own Cam_inPIX® development. With this cutting-edge camera technology it is now possible to solve familiar problems of the video surveillance technology, which with conventional technology were previously deemed unsolvable. The most extreme light conditions, such as backlighting or images that are constantly changing due to environmental influences, can be mastered with the Cam_inPIX® technology.

Dallmeier has even gone a step further: The cameras have been enhanced to the special requirements and typical conditions of casinos. This was the beginning of the Dallmeier CasinoCam®, a special camera that, thanks to a specifically developed software, is able to provide quick and optimal adjustment to the different scenarios in a casino.

Dallmeier Video Management Centre VMC-1 “Eagle”
With the new Video Management Centre VMC-1 “Eagle”, Dallmeier is set to revolutionise the market for video management hardware. In close cooperation with experienced users from the security industry and as a result of practice-oriented product research, a top-class Video Management Centre has been developed which by far surpasses the performance of standard, industrially-manufactured keyboards.

The Video Management Centre “Eagle” is modular in its structure and thus highly flexible. The individual components, whether it‘s the keypad, the joystick or the jog-shuttle, may be positioned according to individual preferences and are therefore equally well-suited for both left- and right-handed operators. Moreover it is also possible to use the individual components as freely programmable stand-alone devices.

The positioning of the control keys directly around the joystick or the jog-shuttle is particularly user-friendly as the groups of keys almost automatically guide the fingers through the operations. Many of the control keys are freely allocable, allowing the operator to suit the VMC-1 to his or her individual mode of operation.
