Dallmeier at G2E 2007 in Las Vegas
Dallmeier has been developing and manufacturing complete networked video solutions for casinos for over 20 years – from special casino cameras, picture storage and picture transmission, to the individually tailored management system with customized GUIs. At G2E 2007 in Las Vegas Dallmeier presented its overall concept for the specific requirements of casino applications.
Highest availability – get 99.99994%
First of all the Digital Matrix was shown with its DIS-2/M modular audio/video recording and transmission system in a 19” rack construction with slide-in units. This system, with MPEG-2/-4 compression, is the ideal solution for monitoring critical areas where high-quality recording and real-time transmission are required. The modular construction of the system allows hot-plug functionality of the individual channel modules and the redundant power supply units of the rack.
The Dallmeier high-secure storage approach relates to high-availability of storage directly at the encoder. The recording is not network dependent therefore it is not disturbed even during interference or complete network failure. Thereby Dallmeier guarantees the highest availability of its comprehensive solution because there is no single-point-of-failure. This in turn means that the failure of an individual component would not cause a breakdown of the whole system.
Due to a sophisticated technology and intelligent structure Dallmeier video systems achieve an availability of 99.99994 %. Such availability values can not even be achieved with extremely expensive storage systems.
CasinoCams
Another highlight presented at G2E was the complete range of Dallmeier CasinoCams with Cam_inPIX© technology. With the innovative sensor concept of Cam_inPIX© technology, every individual pixel of the picture information is converted digitally as soon as the picture is taken and then processed in optimal form. This means that even situations with high contrast can be captured and documented in a picture quality previously unseen. Especially for casino conditions, various presets have been developed. There are for example the “gambling” present for the surveillance of roulette tables or the “poker” present for the clear identification of playing cards on various felt surfaces. Due to the user-friendly menu control of the Dallmeier CasinoCams they can be installed easily, quickly and cost-effectively in any specific surveillance situation.
