Bosch releases video software development kit with support for HD cameras
Bosch Security Systems has released a new version of its software development kit – Video SDK 5.11. This latest release includes support for Bosch’s 720p and 1080p high definition (HD) cameras as well as tools to make software development easier.
Consisting of a library of reusable software components, the Video SDK can be utilized by other industry providers to integrate a wide range of Bosch IP devices under a single object application programming interface. Supported Bosch devices include HD and standard definition (SD) cameras, encoders and decoders, as well as the 700 Series recorders.
Features of Video SDK 5.11 include network device detection, live video rendering from multiple HD or SD devices including in-window pan/tilt/zoom control, as well as live and playback audio rendering, among other capabilities. This release also includes sample code to make software development easier.
“With the new sample codes and documentation libraries available in this latest release, other industry providers will benefit from shortened development and implementation cycles—helping to speed innovation,” said George Maroussis, product marketing manager, Bosch Security Systems. “In turn, their customers will gain access to the advanced image detail de-livered by our HD cameras, regardless of the platform they choose for viewing and controlling their video streams.”
