Shop design in a new light - LED lighting features from Hera

Fitted with four ultra long life 1 W LEDs, the square ARF-Q LED spotlight from Hera fully meets even the highest standards of brightness.

Minimal power consumption, elegant design, long service life and high light output - just some of the advantages of LED technology which make it an attractive option for shop lighting. Just in time for EuroShop 2008, lighting specialist Hera has extended its range of leading edge LED light features all round.

The ARF-Q LED – a lighting classic redefined
High light output in the tiniest space is the hallmark of the ARF-Q LED light, but with a square shape that puts the accent firmly on modern design – and all within an 84 x 84 mm footprint. The light square, which has already performed extremely well in the halogen version, is now an out-and-out winner with its LED technology and “cool light” effect. As LED lights contain neither UV nor IR lighting elements, there’s practically no heat emission in the beam path, which makes the ARF-Q LED the perfect solution for illuminating light and heat sensitive products and particularly useful for the foodstuffs, cosmetics and perfume sectors.

The ARF-Q LED is fitted with four ultra long life 1 Watt LEDs, each with a light output of 50 to 80 lumens per watt depending on the design (i.e. warm white or cool white) – a light intensity which fully meets even the highest standards of brightness. Set against this is an optimum performance with minimum bulb replacement, as the bulbs provide an average service life of around 50,000 hours.

With a minimal recess depth of only 16 mm, the ARF-Q LED makes an attractive feature, and a spacer ring reduces this to just 12 mm. The ARF-Q LED is available in chrome, chrome-matt and stainless steel finishes in a “cool white” light version from April 2008, with the “warm white” version available from the third-quarter of 2008.

LED Stick – highlighting heat sensitive products
Ultra-flat and ultra-slim, totally versatile and offering remarkable light intensity – that’s the new LED Stick add-on, based on LED technology. This small, clip-on LED baton is the ideal energy-efficient solution where uniform illumination is required but without exposing goods to heat – from decorative lighting units for displays through stunning light creations for cosmetics outlets. Tailored for the lighting task at hand in a choice of designs of up to 36 or 72 long life diodes, this lighting system is used as a single light strip arrangement delivering a total maximum of 20 Watts (LED Stick) or a maximum of 36 Watts (LED Twin Stick) as a double light strip arrangement. The system is also versatile in length: depending on the type of transformer, individual overall lengths of 2 to 2.4 meters can be achieved using this system, making creative shop design as easy as child’s play. The LED Stick add-on is attached quickly and easily to glass cases, cupboard units and displays using the installation clips supplied. A translucent plastic profile conceals the milled groove and is available as an accessory.

For superior design requirements, Hera also supplies this LED baton in the LED FlatStick version, whereby the light strip is built into an anodized aluminum housing and can be fitted with an optional folding hinge, which allows the unit to be positioned through a 90 degree angle. The LED light strips are available in cool white and warm white.

KB 12 LED – cool light nice ‘n’ easy
For temperature-sensitive applications in furniture, wood and laminates, Hera introduces the new LED recess spotlight, the KB 12 LED. Equipped with a 24 ultra long life LEDs with a total capacity of 1.6 Watts, this spotlight provides "cool" lighting conditions every time. With a recess diameter of 55 mm and a minimal recess depth of 16 mm, it can be fitted flush into 19 mm thick panels. The unit connects directly to a 24V D.C. power source which ensures easy and fail-safe installation. Ensure that vacant slots on the panelboard are not fitted with short circuit plugs.
