Bizerba, the market-leading supplier of weighing, slicing and labeling technology, recorded worldwide sales of 652.6 million Euros in fiscal 2016, representing a growth of 9 percent compared to the year before. The company, which is fully owned by the Kraut family, celebrated its 150-year anniversary in 2016.

In the past year, the company recorded strong growth in Germany as its home market and in the other European countries. 2016 again brought significantly higher growth rates in Southern and Western Europe. In North America, sales reached the high level set by the previous year, while Eastern Europe and Asia reported the proportionally highest single-market growth rates.

“We are pleased that we were able to continue our dynamic, sustainable growth in our anniversary year,” said Andreas Kraut, CEO and shareholder of Bizerba. “Following the outstanding year 2015 when sales increased by almost 20 percent, we continued our course of expansion in 2016 with favorable results across all regions. For us, this is a clear indication that we provide adequate solutions for the needs of our customers with our broad portfolio and our current focal points including Industry 4.0 and digitization.”

In the past five years, Bizerba recorded an average annual growth rate of 8 percent, fueled by the high demand for Bizerba’s weighing, slicing and labeling solutions. By founding subsidiaries in Brazil, South Africa, Russia, and Ukraine in recent years, the company laid the foundation for further growth in promising markets.
